THE 2018
JULY 20-22

The 2018 Sandhills Family Reunion committee welcomes you to our family reunion website.  From this site you can do everything needed for you and yours to attend, have fellowship and fun at this year’s reunion.  Again we have full automation capabilities, including (but not limited to): 1) using credit/debit cards and cash transfer (Venmo) for dues, payments and donations, 2) reserve your hotel room(s), 3) real time online communication, information sharing and exchange, 4) make scholarship fund donations, and 5) post & share current and/or previous reunion photographs.
This year’s reunion is continuing our reunion concept, which is still primarily predicated upon family roots, history, fellowship, and fun. We can’t wait to see you in the Sandhills (Pinehurst, Southern Pines, Aberdeen, Robbins and unincorporated areas make up the Sandhills). Often referred to as the golf capital of the world, there are many other things to do and see if you’re not a golfer.  The Sandhills' have wineries, potteries, quaint locally owned shops, restaurants, lakes, parks and historical sites, just to name a few.  The North Carolina Zoo is located just 30 miles away in Asheboro.

But what makes this year’s reunion special is the focus on family and getting to know each other better.  This year’s theme is “An Old Fashion Reunion – Backyard Style.”  The seasoned family members may remember our first reunion in 1981 in Iris Woods Baird’s backyard.  Family members brought their special dishes and we feasted on all kinds of southern delicacies. We had limited family history back then, but we did know that Moses Woods was brought to this country as a slave, and the names of his children. So, get ready to renew acquaintances with family members, get to know those you may have seen at other reunions and meet the new attendees.
This year our activities and programs will focus on things that bring us together.  Most of the reunion activities will take place in Wendell and LeVonne’s home and backyard.
Using this website is a breeze and convenient; but if you feel uncomfortable, or don’t have the facilities or capabilities to use it, please don’t hesitate doing things in the manner you have become accustomed.  Be assured we will support those efforts to a successful conclusion and happy reunion.  Just contact LeVonne, this year's hostess and reunion chairperson, by phone at 202-744-2248 or by email at annelbaird@gmail.com, should you have any questions or need any assistance.
The main menu on the left lists all individual web site pages.  To see related submenu information, access the applicable main menu item on your left.
So, go to the next page of this website; or if you know what you want to do next, look at the menu on your left and click on the page that best describes what you want to do now.
